Q1 2023

2023 marks one of the first years I have started with a loose approach. No hit list of what I should or should not be doing. My year of going with the flow.

The top 10 things that MATTER to me:

  • Family. Giving this year, memories as gifts. Spending time making things for my loved ones. Handmade trinkets and making memories with each and every one. Not always as a group, spending quality time with my Grandma for example. Exploring who she is and how she became herself.

  • Plants. Currently 76. At my peak, they were up to 113 but after a troublesome mealybug outbreak and a tricky winter that's where we are. Hoping to expand.

  • Self-improvement. Starting with my sense of self and 'spirituality'. It gets quotations because I am so new to embracing these new feelings of greater power that I don't want to label it. The image above is my new temple.

  • Hobbies. Writing and craftiness has been taking a back seat over the last year. I want to explore why and if this is something I still want to pursue.

  • Loving and being loved. My love language is touch and I tend to have a lot of sex with different people to fill that gap. This year I am experimenting with periods of celibacy and filling that urge of intimacy with masturbation and touch such as massage, stroking my bunnies, and holding hands with my people.

  • Myself. Looking deep into who I am and where I am destined to be. Going with vibes, putting myself out there, and liking who I am before providing people with an incomplete me.

  • My bucket list. For now, I am only tied to my job and my house. No partner holding me back, although this mostly hits me as an uneasy feeling. Perhaps looking at it from a more positive aspect of lets tick some things from my bucket list while I can.

  • Decluttering. By the end of March, I want to feel as though I have a place for everything, and anything I don't love needs to leave. Less 'stuff' means fewer things to tidy and worry about. Moving towards my goal of being visit ready.

  • Writing. This, right here. Not avoiding something I enjoy so much. Offloading these thoughts and ideas that I have. Having that person inspire me makes such a difference. The push of 'I'm proud of you' can be very strong. Go with it.

  • Health and wellbeing. Self-care things like moisturising for work if my skin is dry and not just caking makeup on for colleagues when I don't need to. Nails, shaving, and hair care are up there with looking after myself with doctors visits. Keeping up appointments with my therapist, massages, and walking. Listening to what my body needs.

Lets see how this goes xoxo
